Forgiveness is never a one-time action. It is something you always have to do. You can always quit forgiving someone for something. This is one of those things where we have to watch ourselves, or we will think the matter is done. No, no, no. It is only through Christ's power that we ever forgive anyone, and it is only by his power that we will ever continue to forgive them. It is especially hard to continue forgiving someone in the heat of an argument. Sometimes people say, "Oh, well you never really forgave me then if you're mentioning it now!" It's not that they were never forgiven, just that at some point the act of continued forgiveness stopped.
